Kathy (B.A Stanford University, M.A Management JFK
University), has been a consultant, trainer and facilitator in the
organizational development field for 17 years. She has worked
extensively with high tech companies, government agencies and non-profit
agencies. She specializes in group dynamics training, including
communication skills, building high performance teams, conflict
resolution, leadership, effective meetings, boardsmanship and strategic
planning.
Ms. Merchant is a United Way Kellogg Trainer and a certified
Myers-Briggs Type Indicator trainer. She teaches conflict management in
Cal State Hayward's continuing education program. She serves as a
corporate secretary for the National Service Secretariat, Washington
D.C, and is a feature writer for the Orinda News.
Michael Stadlen is a consultant & trainer with Western
Learning Systems. With more than 25 years of corporate experience in
management, sales, teaching, and 6 years of independent consulting
experience, he works with clients to stimulate the growth and
development of people, organizations, and systems. He delights in
teaching and modeling the knowledge and skills needed for effective
leadership, innovation, and persuasion.
Prior to joining Western Learning, Michael was president of a computer
time-sharing company in Denver, which provided accounting services to
oil & gas exploration companies, and he was the general manager of a
telecommunications distributor providing voice and data communications
systems in Southern California. He has also directed management and
sales education for three different companies engaged in the large
computer, telecommunications, and time-sharing industries.
But Michael's real passion has always been teaching and developing his
employees and/or students. He has frequently made use of his unique
ability to take complex subject matter and make it understandable (and
even enjoyable) for others. At various times in his carrer, Michael has
designed and/or delivered training programs in sales management, general
management, recruiting & selection, selling, strategic accoiunt
planning, time management, presentation & communication skills, conflict
resolution, project management, customer satisfaction skills, finance &
accounting, system design & implementation, and computer programming. He
has developed and managed assimilation programs for newly hired
employees and has served on the Client Advisory Boards for several
international training companies.
Beth is a seasoned trainer and management consultant with over 20 years experience in the corporate, academic & non-profit sectors. She spent 4 years living, teaching and traveling in Asia. Her eclectic background includes teaching English as a second language, contract administration in the financial services industry, sales & marketing, delivering human resource services to companies throughout the Bay Area, and training their employees & volunteers. As a trainer she specializes in helping people to achieve peak performance by learning to manage themselves and their environment more effectively, both as individuals and in teams. Her training's are marked by energy, a professional touch and insights drawn from her experiences in a wide variety of venues.
Jyl is a Speech and Language Therapist with over 20
years experience as a corporate trainer, speech & dictation coach, oral
communication consultant, and educator. Ms. Cohen works exclusively with
foreign-born professionals and has successfully modified the accents of
clients from 46 different countries, by conducting both small group
seminars and private 1:1 coaching, She created the The Accent
Modification Training Program and accompanying workshop manuals or
Western Learning Systems in 1993.
Ms. Cohen holds a graduate degree in Speech and Communication from
Northwestern University and a B.S in speech pathology from Boston
University. She also has a California Teaching Credential and
certificates in Intercultural Communication and Counseling.

Ms. Cotton is a successful Management Consultant and
Trainer having acquired skills from High Tech Computer companies,
Government and Education. In addition, she is well accomplished in
several disciples having successfully managed career of 20 years in
Human Resources as a generalist and nine years as a consultant and
trainer.
Ms. Cotton's consultant practice includes diversity awareness,
developing sexual harassment prevention strategies, employee relations,
mediation, conflict resolution, managing and coaching diverse work teams
and employee recruitment.
Ms. Cotton has worked with youth in the Inter District Inter Action
program of Sequoia Union High School District for eight years providing
a diversity awareness class for eighth graders.
Ms. Cotton earned a bachelors degree of Science in Business
Administration from San Jose State University. She is currently enrolled
in Masters program in Intercultural relations. She is a member of
American Society of Training and Development (ASTD), National and
Silicon Valley chapters Institute of Management Consultants, (IMC),
Northern California Human Resources Council (NCHRC), and the Peninsula
Association of Black Personnel Administrators, (PAPBA).
Regina has been a trainer and facilitator since 1989.
She has worked with managers and employees of all levels in skill
acquisition and effectiveness.
Regina's work is to provide support for the organization's goals through
the various methodologies of teambuilding, breakthroughs in team
performance, communication skills training and one-on-one coaching. her
passion is to create practical solutions that work for her client's
needs and to facilitate communication between members of the
organization so that results are long lasting. She has worked with the
top leadership groups of American Medical International, Haagen Dazs
Europe, Grace Cathedral in San Francisco and British Gas Transco, and
the middle managers of British Petroleum Exploration around the world.
Regina graduated from Rutgers University in 1984 and served as a
teaching assistant at the Stanford Business School for Richard Pascale,
co-author of The Art of Japanese Management and for Jerry
Porras, professor and co-author of Built to Last

Zoie Kaye has a business background in manufacturing, marketing, training,
retailing, and education.
Zoie makes over 150 presentations a year for a diverse list of clients
including SkillPath (a nationally known training organization), Boeing,
Chevron, Cincinnati Bell, Hewlett-Packard, Litton Industries, Motorola,
Patelco Credit Union, Sterling Software and US West.
Zoie has been a successful entrepreneur for the last 15 years before
that she was director of sales training, sales promotion and national
advertising for Vassarette, a division of Munsingwear in
Minneapolis.Prior to this she was responsible for the merchandising of a
division, head of sales promotion, and publicity director of California.
Zoie has made guest appearances on national radio and television. For 14
years she was an instructor at FIDM in San Francisco and in 1989 was
named Outstanding Teacher of the Year. She is the author of the book
Saying "No" to Negativity

Ed Levine began his career as a computer salesperson and later
branch manager of ComputerLand Corporation. He began his own
business selling computer graphic systems with a strong emphasis on
training.
After 5 successful years, Ed sold his business to a larger
distributor and began fully focusing on the training field.
Ed has become a regular instructor at Western Learning Systems.His
experiences as a salesperson and business owner allow Ed to speak
credibility on a number of communication and management topics.
